Adding De to sand filter

Hello, I have a 15,000 above ground pool, I’m wanting to add DE to skimmer for better filtration. It’s an intex 2800 GPH sand filter pump! How much DE do I add? I came here because Google is all over the place, and you guys seem to know your stuff Thanks in advance.

Use ONLY pool DE. Follow the process:

Add DE to a Sand Filter

A clean pool filter will increase the efficiency of your pool! ... your filter are to backwash it, clean the manifolds and grids, and add new DE.

Pool grade DE MUST be used, food, pet or garden grade will not work. The use of the wrong type of DE will cause it to go directly through the filter and cloud up your pool worse.
