Adding DE after Backwash? Sta-Right S7MD60

Greetings ..... Any info on how much DE to add after backwash/Rinse on a S7MD60 (9lbs) .....Manual doesn't say ........m

9 lbs on fresh start. About 6 to 7.5 lbs after a backwash.

However, backwashing doesn't really get the filter element clean. So, you're better off taking it apart and rinsing the element with a hose for best results.

Gracia's ! ...... I agree on its better to remove filter and clean ....and with this system not a big deal .....was just being lazy ... thanks .....mike
