Hey all, I’m in the middle of a SLAM for some cloudy water and I made the mistake of starting my SLAM at a pH of 7.5 instead of 7.2. I’m a bit paranoid about it, and I want to add the required amount of muriatic acid to bring it in line to 7.2. The issue is I’m trying to keep my FC at 28 due to a higher CYA of 70. Could there be any potential side effects to doing that? Or am I over thinking it and I should just leave it alone. I can’t check my pH because the results will be inaccurate.

here is a summary from pool math of where I’m at

I wouldn’t add acid without knowing the pH. Let your FC come down to below 10, test for pH and TA and add enough to bring the pH to 7.2, then dose back up. :)
