Ive been using muriatic acid in the pool. My pool sold me Sulfuric acid for about $3. a gallon.
Will I have any issues with swapping over to sulfuric?

If you use just one bottle, it shouldn't be a big deal. But I would avoid using it continuously as it adds sulfates to the water. Muriatic is the better choice overall.

For some reason, sulfuric acid is a thing in Florida. Someone apparently has an interest in selling sulfuric acid or has the mistaken belief that it's somehow better than muriatic acid. Muriatic acid is better. Sulfuric acid is going to add sulfates, which is not good.

Yes, sulfates in the water shorten the lifespan of an SWG. Sulfuric acid adds sulfates, muriatic acid does not.

Yes. The sulfates adds by the sulfuric acid erode the coating on the SWCG plates. That shortens its life significantly.

Does this start to happen immediately upon using the sulfuric acid or if you use a significant amount at any given time?

I’m really starting to second-guess myself if I should dump this Jug into my pool

The sulfates need to build up in the water some. But none is better than any in the water.

Sulphates aren't good for plaster either, I understand.
