Hello.

I am reading the below article and it says to "Clean and brush pool. Bring pool water to “shock” level and maintained there for 24hrs with pump running to be sure that there are no remaining algae blooms."

What does it actually mean to bring pool water to shock level? Is that the same as SLAM?

Yes, so you need to know your CYA level first.

CYA is 0. I just refilled pool after new liner
