Since a AA treatment is utilized to remove metal stains and with other chemicals such as a sequestering agent to keep stains from reforming wouldn’t it be wise to get the stains sequestered and while they are in the water and not on your pool to drain the pool and get rid of the metals permanently and then refill?

If you have fill water that is metals free (typically iron), then yes, do the AA treatment to release the stains, drain the pool, and fill with fresh, iron free water.

Be aware that draining a pool has risks. Significant risks in areas of high water tables/surface water.

No. Except for the risks I detailed. Are you in an area of nearby surface water, high water tables, etc?

You live right next to the ocean, with swamp all around. I would be very careful draining the pool completely.
