A renter with a pool!

My default answer to that is that we don't trust pool store testing. Also the pH is the parameter that will drift the most after taking the sample, so it will change by the time you get to the store.

I use cheap plastic measuring cups. But I have to be very careful not to spill or get any on my clothes or to leave the bottle open and to work fast because of the fumes.

Best guess is probably a better way. ;D

I don't see how to add two things into Pool Math at the same time. Is that what you're saying @Teald024 ?
PoolMath needs to know pool volume, starting pH, desired pH and TA to calculate how much acid you need. If you are using the online version, TA is lower down.

Yikes - the fumes are that bad??!
The fumes aren’t friendly on the 32% MA

Yeah, the fumes are pretty bad. I've switched to the "green" version which is 1/2 strength and costs more for the same amount of liquid. (I'm sure it's not green in the sense of any more environmentally friendly as you have to use twice as much so twice as much plastic, energy to transport, etc. I try to be green in the environmental sense, but can't do it here.) Other's here says it isn't worth the extra cost, but it is to me. Just want you to know your options.

Its hard to say. It looks kind of like something granular was spilled on the concrete. If you can't brush it away and it doesn't feel any different then something probably got spilled on the concrete, but I have no idea what. Could have been some chemical that was put in the pool and blew around before it hit water.
