Rusty looking stain on vinyl liner

Is that the wall or floor?
The two test of satins are:
1. Place part of a trichlor puck on the stain for a couple of minutes. If the stain starts to lighten then you have organic matter staining it.
2. Place a Vitamin C tablet on the stain. If that lightens it then it is metals of some sort.

I've seen things you can buy that allow you to put a puck or Vit C on the floor and see what happens. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations of products that would be helpful here? I think I understand that organic matter would be leaves etc. What about metal, where would that be coming from, if on the bottom, since I think the bottom of a vinyl pool is not metal, so what would that be coming from? Thanks.

I had a bobby pin once on the bottom for a few days that caused a stain....Vit C got rid of it.
