Intex skimmer

When I first set up my intex skimmer it worked great clearing any debris from pool in about 20 Minutes. It still works great but the debris goes into the skimmer, makes its way over skimmer basket under basket and gets stuck at where the suction tube is connected. I dont know why it wont stay in the basket now :?:

That is not uncommon. I typically remove the blue adapter and clean out the debris about once a week when I vacuum. I believe it's because the holes are smaller there than they are in the strainer basket, so some stuff is able to get through the skimmer basket and gets caught there.

Of course make sure your skimmer is assembled correctly and set to the proper height. But everything else being correct, I think it's a typical situation.
