65,000 ppm Salt Reading!

Salt reading is over 65,000 ppm! Clearly wrong. Any ideas? Hayward OmniLogic System was knocked off line bc of electricity outage. Back up and running w/ super high reading.

I’ve got no idea what the issue could be.

Where did you get a reading of 65,000 ppm of salt?

Have you checked the cell is actually generating chlorine? It’s been my experience with the Hayward cells that once they are EOL they read way out (very high or low) and need to be replaced since they are not actually generating.

Check your flow switch using a multimeter and see that it is not stuck closed.

You can get strange salt readings when the system thinks water is flowing and tries to measure the salt level and it gets bad readings.
