white buildup at spillway, calcium or salt? how to clean?

We bought a home about a year ago with a 6 year old salt water pool, and have a white buildup around the spillway. What is it and best way to clean it?

Likely just deposits that result from evaporation.

Try a mix of muriatic acid and water. Or scrub with a pumice stone
