408A 407A heat exchanger interchange?

does the pre-12/2019 stuff interchange on these 2? 407A/408A
seems neither is actually any better in the end but the heat exchanger (cupro-nickel) is $300-400 less for the 407, and easier to find.

Appears 408A kit has bronze headers instead of cast iron.

I'm only replacing the tube bundle as everything else is in good condition.
Looks like they are the same but there is a different part number on each.
and the prices are kinda like Toyota vs Lexus, both are the same junk just labeled differently.
