Hello, does anyone know if a license is required to clean residential pools in the state of FL? No paid workers just myself. Thanks for any help on the ?
IMHO - the CPO course is B.S. It touches on some key things but is woefully inadequate for actually running and maintaining a pool. I suppose if an operator had never seen a pool before, it'd be more useful but...
A service technician who only cleans and balances the chemicals does not need to be licensed. However, for commercial pools, they do need to be certified.
If you want to work on plumbing, replace pumps, electrical etc, then you do need a license.
If you're operating a business, then you do need a business license.
