32x16x52 Intex Ultra XTR pool

Good evening everyone! We recently ventured into the world of pool owners and are looking forward to getting the pool up and going for a summer of fun

We've got a company coming with skid steer and laser to level the yard in 2 weeks so I'm trying to get the items needed before then. 4'x8' Sheets of 1" extruded foam will go under the pool. We are also building a partial deck around the pool and investing in a better set of pool steps.

I've ordered a SP1091LX through wall skimmer and had questions on the existing plumbing in the pool. Do I cap the 2 suction fittings in the pool and run the skimmer only? Or plumb all 3 together?

My last question is will the attached 1 1/2" ball valves be what I want to hard plumbing the skimmer in?
