Any pros/cons anyone has experienced with travertine. I am deciding whether to do that or pavers. I have heard some interesting stuff ref. travertine and staining, damage etc.

Travertine is a porous stone with epoxy filler. It's very soft and not very durable. It needs to be sealed on a regular basis. I did a full travertine bathroom remodel recently, and although it is beautiful, I probably would find something more durable next time.
