Long story short...we had our pool installed in June of 2023. From day one, the steps were not level and the concrete job looked horrible. Several weeks later we realized the pool was leaking by the steps due to installation and contractor said it needed to be replaced. Concrete contractor said the concrete job was terrible and would be completely redone.
April of 2024, concrete completely redone (looks fantastic now) and pool liner replaced. We noticed that the bas of the pool had a lot of dents and rough areas (several places felt like you were stepping on rocks). We began to notice that the pool was again leaking. Contractor found leak and determined one of the seams was separated (manufacture error and covered under warranty) and patched the separation for the time being. Contractor said that we could leave it patched and would hold or he could completely replace the liner. We wanted a new liner because that is what we paid for, not a patched one.
Third liner was just installed and contractor said that he would fix pool base to smooth out better. Pool base is still rough in spots and some spots feels like wet sand. We immediately realized the pool was leaking again and the new liner looks absolutely horrible (multiple wrinkles in bottom and sides of pool and the liner is not connected to top by the steps and the steel wall is exposed, contractor said that didn't make a difference and wouldn't hurt anything).
As of now, we are waiting for the contractor to come back out and find the new leak. Before new leak was discovered, the contractor got very nasty with my spouse saying that we are "very hard to please" and we should have just left the patched second liner because when a liner is replaced, it can cause more issues.
We did not pay all this money for a "patched job" and we understand (per our contract) that wrinkles are possible, but the current liner is ridiculous. At what point do we tell this contractor that we are done because we don't have faith that he will make these issues right or do we keep having him come out and "fix" these issues? Is it time to seek legal options or are we stuck because he is still coming out to "fix" said issues. All this is just a brief version of everything (I could write a novel by now). Any suggestions would be great, thank you!
