We've been working on the landscaping... here's a progress photo! 
Still have a few more things to complete like regrowing grass from installing the new sidewalk, and clean, fresh landscaping around the base of the pool on the half not shown in the pic. It's really starting to feel like a little oasis though! We planted a Mimosa tree that will really add to the ambience once it matures! Right now it's the twig looking thing sticking up out of the ground to the right of the wheelbarrow in the photo. I've also been contemplating some banana trees that would grow tall and add some privacy from cars driving past on the road.
Temps have been 15 degrees below average for the first half of May. Hoping the second half makes up for that and we get more use out of the heater!
