Hose recommendations

For those of us who dont want to/aren't ready yet to hard plumb their systems, what are the recommended hoses to use? Right now I have some thick clear plastic tubing, similiar to what one would use on an aquarium (obviously larger and thicker) and one flex hose from skimmer to pump (pool store type I guess).

white flex pvc is nice. you get to use pvc glue fittings and since it can flex and bend you don't have to be exact with your measurements unlike rigid pvc pipe.
