    Opening #s

Wow! After using BBB for the first time last year, my pool opened very well. Here's where I stand after adding a jug of bleach and running the pump for 2 days:

    FC: 7
    CC: 0
    TC: 7
    PH: 7.8
    TA: 130
    CH: 230
    CYA: 85

I'm going to add a bag of cal-hypo to raise the FC to 10 and increase the CH a little bit. I'll also add 8oz of dry acid to bring the PH and TA down a little bit.
15,000 gallon unpainted plaster. Sand filter. Polaris 380.

Sounds like you have done your homework Keep an eye on that CYA level it is a bit on the high side.

    Good work

Yep, keep an eye on that CYA

I am curious, did you close with that same CYA?

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.
