2018: Fiberglass install uxbridge ointario

Starting to like the cute little remote and to be honest, I doubt we will be changing the color much.
Well spring has sprung finally here in Myrtle Beach and I had the lights on in the pool this evening.

Hey Chris, we’ve been catching some weather lately. I’ll take these few rainy days over snow storms in April!

I’m working through my grading plan and wondered how much aggregate you placed for the decking? 6” or more?

I’ve got a track loader and mini ex coming end of month so I need to be prepared.

Who did you use for clean fill removal? I’ve been looking at bins vs. tri axle.

I used 20 yard bins from a local company. 5 of them $400 each. really depends on logistics re: loading directly into a dump truck or bins.

HPB gravel base varries from 5" to 18". If you remember, I had one end that needed to.be brought up.

Hey look at that! It looks level! Chris I know you did but is there a slight slope to get any water to run off and away from the house? I also want to ask........are you calling in the cement truck for this or are you mixing and pouring by hand? (asks the person that mixed and poured her tiny little pad on her own-has shovel and wheelbarrow and will use it!)

Looking good, Chris! Down here, we commonly have a "filter box" to house the pool equipment. Some are stick built, some pre-fab, but all the same purpose. On new construction (depending on local code) soundproof is required. Mine is powder-coated aluminium with a foam lining. What I'd like to pass along is that the good designs incorporate walls that are easily removed (mine is three bolts on each end to remove a side panel). If that's an option, I'd highly recommend it. Day-to-day stuff is all through a door on the front, or a hinged lid. Opening up the sides is seldom needed, but saves on contortions for bigger jobs like additions or future changes :). Just some food for thought.

Project is looking excellent by the way!

I love the idea but making a takedown shed would be a logistical nightmare in my application and the benefits would not be justified.

So equipment is hooked up. Can't get her to prime. I open the vent on my filter until water comes out then I shut it. for a short period, water sucks from skimmer and goes back into pool via jets. Then it stops. it almost like the pump cannot keep the filter full. Been a long 2 days of hard work for me and my patience is running thin not that I have a lot of it to begin with. lol.

I think I know exactly what is happening. I have a huge filter. Probably 4 times the size I really need.

The little 3/4hp pump fills the filter until which time the water weight in the filter is stronger than the actual pump. Then the water weight overcomes the pump strength and goes the other direction.

Any suggestions?
