Welcome! Are you looking for advice from us? Our pool care methods are very different from the normal “dump and forget” that pool stores advocate, but much more reasonably costed too. 
Not sure yet. Levels tested good. Water was not as cloudy but had to turn filter and pump off for a couple days until new hose came.
Duboy, welcome. How are you testing and let's have your numbers. Please read pool school and ABC of water chemistry. As Ice said we do things differently then the pool stores so going forward you will be following TFP methodology. Stick with us and you will pick it up.

"13", if you didn't already know, test strips are simply horrible for testing water. Those VERY broad ranges listed do nothing to accurately tell you what your true chemistry is like. We highly encourage you to obtain a TF-100 (link below) or Taylor K-2006C test kit. See Test Kits Compared. I rely on my TF-100 everyday. Either one of those kits are easy-to-use and will give you accurate results you can depend on. Anything else becomes guesswork and can waste your time and money. Welcome to TFP!

Until you’re test comes you should add 5ppm of liquid chlorine daily calculated with PoolMath the app is free ! so things don’t get worse. & stock up on plenty of it so you’ll be ready to go when your test kit arrives?? & like they said do a little reading on the tfp methods while u wait as well ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry
I should have test kit within the hour. Waiting on mail. Pool has cleared up some. I can see bottom better.

you’re ready to do the SLAM Process
Read through it & follow exactly
lower your ph to 7.2
Bring fc up to slam level for your cya with liquid chlorine - which is 20ppm
Then test & MAINTAIN 20 ppm with lc as frequently as you can
Brush/vacuum daily
Leave filter running 24/7
Only backwash when you get to 25% over clean pressure
Take pics daily so u can see your progress ?

Pool is clearing. Still maintaining 20ppm until pass all 3 test.

Great! Stick with it ???? Follow through till the end. Some folks take pics daily so they can look back & see their progress .
Keep Brushing/vacuuming daily- don’t forget your ladder (some harbor algae & need to be removed & cleaned)
No need to do Overnight Chlorine Loss Test until the water is completely clear & cc is .5 or less
The only thing you’re testing right now is Fc & CC
After you pass all 3 criteria you may want to deep clean your sand filter here’s a great write up with videos Deep Cleaning a Sand Filter
Also after you are done with SLAM never let your fc fall to min or below for your cya level FC/CYA Levels
Keep your levels in balance & you’ll keep a Touble free Pool

progress on pool. Can see bottom from every side.Still a little bit cloudy. Can see drain in middle also. Could not see bottom steps from deck at first.
