Over the years, I've tried twice to install a screw-in LED pool light into this fixture using new gaskets each time. Within a day or two, the fixture fills up with water and when turned on, the light is toast. I think the fixture is just too old to work with anymore. I know Pentair took over this line (Amerilite) but all I'm seeing is the same 500w replacement and they want $800 for their LED version!
I'm wondering if there's a complete factory sealed LED replacement light for these? Perhaps a lower cost solution from a different manufacturer? With my electrical expertise, I can do the install.
