18x34 Doughboy Autumn Breeze - Finished!

Re: 18x34 Doughboy AGP Autumn Breeze - NEW Pics!!

Okay another question (I know you are probably tired of my questions but I am learning alot from this). Why is the liner over the top rail? Why not have it under the coping, etc. with the top rails in place? Is for the stretch of the liner? I am figuring we are going to need a new liner come spring. When we installed the liner the first go around we just had the liner under coping strips and then put the metal strips and then the top rail and filled.

He is using an overlap liner and it is being expanded (stretched) for the deep section. Once they get the fill most of the way done, they will let the liner over the wall in a few sections. Then they will remove the top seat and other hardware from those sections and fold the liner up and add the coping strips and replace the top seat and other hardware. They will work there way around folding, tucking and possibly cutting the extra liner from the outside. This is based on a YouTube video I watched.

Glock - congrats, it looks fantastic :)

Are you running one hose or two? I was able to fill our 4800 intex in 5 hours last year running both at the same time, just a thought

That's just so wrong, at 4 feet I'm surprised your not standing in the yard arcing the water from the hose into the pool  . My front yard hose will actually be running through the garage and out a window into the backyard so I can have both running:)

lol. If it wasn't for the house alarm I would have the hose connected to the faucet in the kitchen with my aquarium kit and out the window into the pool. lol. Might still do that to finish it up.

Water company just called. lol. I told them I was filling the thing yesterday and the girl just said ok and hung up. They were alot more interested today. They thought I had a leak. They did do me the favor of estimating my new water bill based on a 23k gallon fill. 108 dollars higher than normal. I am relieved. I was expecting much worse.

Yay! Exciting! How long do you have to wait before you can get in?

Not sure. I have to add 10lbs of CYA and that takes awhile to dissolve. I was actually just about to ask here but I imagine I need a complete set of test results first. I know my kids are chomping at the bit to get in.

@Glock - From what I've seen in the past bring your FC up to 2-3ppm and let them swim, just be sure to let the water circulate for a good 30 minutes after adding chems to the pool(stabilizer should be fine). Then after everyone is done swimming for the day start your chem drops.

I actually asked because our non-Dough Boy non expandable liner that was installed last Friday was not allowed to be used for 3 days in order for the sand to set beneath the liner. Otherwise we would have made permanent footprints and such. Water chemistry wise I think you can use it as long as your pH and chlorine are set, but take others' words well before mine. Without cya you will burn through the chlorine so be ready to add lots. Our water temp is already too warm in just a week! So they won't be freezing long :)

They are almost done. I am going to have to run my sprinklers alot to get the clay to back down around the pool. They are waiting on the head honcho to come move the bobcat out and then they can setup the pump and filter and be gone! Pics! I love working from home!

Yes, after they back filled I found the pool to be a mere 21" out of the ground. Going to build me some steps from treated wood until I can afford to put a deck on it next year. They are putting the skimmer and pump together now. It won't be able to be turned on though. They will leave that to me. I just turn it to waste and let er flow until its clean and then go to filter right? Then make sure there are no bubbles.
