Hey pool friends!
We went to get a quote from the pool place yesterday and I think we've decided on the pool in my thread title. I have researched here (and beyond) about partially burying our AGP. Of course, I ask the sales rep yesterday and he said no more than 6 inches.
I have read that 2 feet should be fine for a partial bury. Is this true? Also, do I have to drain completely to winterize (I'm in southwest VA, we have below freezing temps in winter sometimes - I haven't researched this stage in pool ownership yet).
So these are my thoughts on partially burying our AGP:
* I am having a professional backfill for us - the pool will be on a slight slope
* We will go about 2 feet up (52" pool) - we will be decking at some point.
* Keep my pump below water
* Fill pool before backfilling
Anything else that I'm missing?
I feel like a lot of the research I've done of the internet is pretty dated like 2005, saying to definitely NOT bury an AGP at all.
Thank you for your feedback!
