Three years ago my 30 year pool bit the dust so I got a new one. When the original pool was installed, I built the deck around it. The new pool buttresses interfered with the existing cement footings and the pool had to be repositioned 18 inches away from the side part of the deck causing me to disassemble part of the deck and re-build to accommodate the new pool position. Here are the before and after pics.

Nice indeed! Were you able to cut those angles in one go, after the boards were down? Or did you have to cut them individually before putting them in place? Either way, they look perfect!

Who added the extension to the fence, looks like way back when? You or the neighbor? ;)

Reminds me a bit of the scenes in the backyard on that TV show King of Queens, when the neighbor got a AG pool! How does one go about smoothing over such things with a neighbor?

I cut the boards after they were in place using a long saw guide screwed to the deck and a circular saw. That other fence you see is a town fence, with a roadway behind it.
