Hi, new to the forum. We’re building a 16x36’ pool with tanning ledge that is 6’. That leaves us with 30’ length of pool and have 40” shallow that is 4.5’ long and then gradual slope to 6’. The slope is 1:7. PB recommended this based on having an area for our kids (7, 10, and 14) to jump in as well as entertaining family and friends. Wanted to get opinions on the pool slope (will this be usable/comfortable to stand on) and other thoughts/recommendations on the design. There’s an 8’ bench on one side and corner seat on other side of deep end as shown in the attached drawing and diagram. Thank you in advance for your help :)

Hi and welcome to TFP! Thank for letting us help you make your pool the best it can be!

What kind of pool? Plaster or vinyl? I love that you will have a good shallow end for people to hang out on. I would make it 4' deep. That will make the slope a bit less as well as providing a better swim zone. The slope you have set will work but the 4 to 6 will be even better.
