Plus+ and Minus- on the Raypac LCD Display

Pool was opened Wednesday, 5/23, Heater and display worked fine. Today, display is showing rows of pluses and minuses (+, -), no text, no temp. Doesn't change when hitting the mode button to go through pool/spa, etc. Turned unit on/off, no change. Model Number P-R406A-EP-C. Any idea what might be the issue? The display was replaced in 2017, wasn't showing any data. Have a feeling maybe it needs to be replaced every year!

That does sound like it need to good kick in the panel but every year? OUCH! Have you tried to turn it off all of the way by throwing the breaker it is on? Leave it off for about 5 mins and see what happens then. Let us know what ends up happening.

They did have an issue with the displays back in 2014 and they changed them. I wonder if maybe whoever changed it still had the old version of it.
