Just started build in South Texas

Oh looky!!! You have a pool!!! well almost!

Guess what time it is!!! Time for YOUR set of links! It is a lot of info so take it slow. It will all start to sink in as you use it:

Print these out:
Pool School - Basic Pool Care Schedule

Pool School - Recommended Levels

Bookmark these:
Pool School - Recommended Pool Chemicals

Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry

TFP also has a Pool Math App! Here is the link: Pool Math It is so neat and easy to use!

Make sure to ask any and all questions you might have no matter how small! We have all been where you are at one point.

Now is also a good time to ask your PB what test kit he will be providing. Let us know so we can fill in any holes.

The travertine and tiles are coming along. I really do love the tile.

The spa was tiled this week, steps were finished with tread lights (thank you to whomever I stole that idea from on here), and they started on the fireplace as well.

Thanks Kim,

we still can’t decide. My husband likes Barbados blue and I want either Montego Bay or the St. Martin Shade. Our sun shelf is pretty prominent so I want something that looks good in 9 inches of water. He says we should go with the Grenadine Gary bc he doesn’t want any green (Montego Bay has a hint of green) and I think Barbados is too blue.

I think I want each tile to po but not sure what will look best. I will have to see about the color sticks. I found this tile on the internet and then went searching for it locally.

They seem to be making pretty good progress in just over a week.

We just finished our pool midnight blue stonescapes with sand stonescapes tanning ledge. I love that we did the sand!!!!! So pretty and the abalone we added is AMAZING!! It’s true- we have some streaking on the dark color- but you cannot see it when pumps are on- it’s not really bad when water is still. I love our color. Only thing I would’ve done different if I had the chance to rebuild again is maybe go even darker or do the whole pool and sand or keep it exactly the way it is! We are so happy overall. I really loved all the colors that you were mentioning but if you are going to choose to go with a darker color I would go with the stone scapes over the quartz scapes. All of the colors you mentioned I thought only came in quartz scapes. Best wishes!!

It’s been a relatively slow week. The sheer wall now has ledger stone and they did the concrete for the bar.

They started on the cabana this week and almost finished tiling the bar. My fireplace guy doesn’t think the ledger stone will look good on the fireplace. He wants to go with a composite material that I don’t really care for.
