Coping help!

Hi there, first time poster here, first time pool building. We live in canada so we will get snow and close the pool in the winter. We are using permacon norvick grey pavers and are choosing banas stone antique black limestone as coping and cap stones for a feature wall and retaining wall. Our builder says the limestone is only available in 16" wide slabs rather than 12" (might be seasonal availability?). As pool coping and spa coping no big deal but as a cap for feature walls any thoughts on the bigger size? Better to have the cap overhang a bit or to build the walls a bit wider? Thanks in advance and thanks for the wonderful forum.
As a side note, anyone use antique black for their pool coping and can give feedback if it is slippery or too hot?

Welcome to the forum!

Your location shows Detroit, Michigan. You state you live in Canada. Can you change your Location? I figure you are near Detroit ---

No input on the stone. Others will chime in on that.

Take care.

Yes, I agree with having an overhang. We were unsure whether it would be too much. As it turns out, the antique black is only available finished on one side. We have a spa that will have flagstone coping around it, so it needs to be finished on both sides. The only option that we have that goes with our patio interlock is banas slate.
Can anyone comment on sandstone coping that is rough cut? We worry a lot about injuries, but not sure if this an issue for anyone.
