Should I care if my CYA is "only" 50 if my Salt Generator at 10% gets me FC of 10+?

Should I care if my CYA is "only" 50 if my Salt Generator at 10% gets me FC of 10+?

Does CYA have a purpose other than to slow down loss of FC?
Because I have more FC than I know what to do with.
At 11-13% my SWG overproduces FC past 8 to 10 to 12, and at 10% it holds pretty steady.
I am trying to keep all indicators in their suggested ranges, should I care if my CYA is low?
If I must get CYA up to 70-80, why? Will it hurt to let CYA linger at 50?
Trying to understand the complete usage of CYA.
Thanks in advance

R,

You can let you CYA be anything you want, as long as you are monitoring it so that the FC does burn off too quickly and drop below the minimum number.

My guess, however is that your CYA is actually more than you think it is. I swear I can see that dot through a 2" lead shied... :p

Thanks for posting,
