Cloudy Pool

We have a commercial 165,000 gallon outdoor pool that has just been re-done. New coping, tile and plaster. We have maintained the pool chemistry relatively well (Cl fluctuates and alkalinity is a bit low) since the pool has been re-done. This morning after almost 4 weeks of the pool looking great, the pool is a very cloudy blue. You can't see pretty much past one step on a ladder. At the bottom (or at least what you can see on the steps) is a white chalky like material which I assume has caused the pool to turn cloudy overnight. We have consistently been brushing the pool surface as directed once if not twice a day to remove the pool plaster which has been a brownish color. Our pool service guy has suggested the white chalky material is plaster dust. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

pH-7.0
alk-20
calc-190

*remove the plaster dust (not pool plaster obviously)

Can you describe the pump and filter setup including flow rates?

What is your chlorine reading now?

If it's been good for 4 weeks, then what has changed now?

Vacuum up some dust and put a drop of acid on the dust to see if it fizzes.

Do an OCLT to see what that shows.

I would get the TA up to about 60 to 80 now.
