Ive been out of town alot lately and havent had much of a good chance to get things tightly under control. I added more bleach and will test FC tomorrow..as of this morning it seemed to be between 2 and 3. I have the CYA in a sock but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Should I put holes in the sock or just let it hang?

Make sure it is hanging in front of the return. That will speed it up. Squeeze it as often as you can. I tend to walk around with the sock in my hand when I need to add some. The ole "TFP says get it in so it is going in NOW" way of thinking LOL
Well, the sock has been hanging in front of the return for a week and a half now and it is still slowing coming out. It is getting thinner though. I have added more bleach as I'm still sitting at 2.
You probably need to add enough bleach now to get your FC up to about 3.5 - 4.0 and keep it there. How is the "chlorine smell" and do you have any CC?
