My pool has plenty of Chlorine and I have shocked it twice this week. My walls start to turn green just about every other day. I brush it and it comes right off. How do I stop it permanently
Hello and welcome to TFP! There's a few things required to get you going:
- You MUST have the proper test kit. None of that free store testing junk. Please see the TF-100 link below in my sig
- You will need to SLAM (link also below); that's why the test kit is required
- Please go to the Pool School link below and review those pages, especially the ABCs of Water Chemistry. Easy reading.
- Put nothing else in your water right now except perhaps a 1/4 gallon of regular (generic) bleach from Wal-Mart or HEB.
- Also update your signature so we know what you have to work with. You can add your pool info to your signature by going to the top of the TFP web page (just under the Pool School button) and select "SETTINGS". On the next page look to the left for a menu bar that says, “MY SETTINGS” and go to "EDIT SIGNATURE" to enter your pool and equipment info there. It will help us later. This link may also help you: Pool School - Read This BEFORE You Post.
