2-speed Pentair 1.5 pump

Hey guys, we just got our pool open. We have had our new pump on high the whole time. My pool builder told me to move it to low-speed. I meant to ask him if I have to shut the pump off or not. Do I need to shut the pump completely off before switching to low-speed? I know you have to shut off pump to toggle between Filter, Backwash, Rinse, etc. I was just not sure about toggling between low and hi speed on pump.

Agree that you should definitely run it on low for skimming and filtering. It will save you about 75% on your electric bill. No need to turn it off before switching.
