New house, New-to-me pool, new adventure!

Nothing really pool related, but just some close ups of the culprits of loud noises at night and not helping the pool situation...

It's pretty rough, nice and pee soup green (saw a dead mouse floating in it today...) but I have this strange confidence all will be ok... I think it has something to do with this place [emoji847]

One step at a time.

Honestly it was probably a little preemptive of me to take the cover off so early. But, again, I feel good it will all work out.

Like Marian said it WILL work out. We are just waiting for your signal! Get the plumbing all worked out. I like the idea of starting from almost scratch. That way you KNOW it is correct.

LOL on the noise makers-frogs! At least they keep the kids happy and semi-quiet!

My pool has been open since April 20, here in NH! Early is always better, as is closing late...you'll be ok. It will likely take a 10-14 days to get it clear, but you will get it clear and then it's easy street.

PVC is repaired:

Multi-port valve was cracked at the pump inlet... Thank goodness previous owners had a "spare" new one handy!

How's the sand level look?

Haven't fired it up yet, going to let it sit a day or so to set.

How "nice" of them to leave you a brand new one!

That sand-I am not sure but it sure looks high enough. BUT see if you can find the manual on line and see if it shows the sand level to be on the safe side.

Look at all of that shiny new pipe! Good job! And unions! Fancy that! Being able to work on your equipment when needed!

I can't wait to hear how the turning on goes! I bet there will not be any water works with that fine work!
