    Fishing New Line In PVC

Typically I get a small plastic grocery bag and tie my pull string to it. I use the nylon pull string from the electrical isle at lowes. Then use a shop vac to suck the plastic bag/pull string through the pipe. Being that your pvc is probably below water level, I am not sure if that...

Dallas TX - Heater - Gas or Electric

I’m in NC so different climate. I have an electric meter dedicated to my pool and my power bill is usually $200 more in the summer months with the heat pump running to maintain temp. The shoulder months can be up to $500 more depending on weather.

Fix for iAqualink 2.0 / EERO issue- Hardwire to a WiFi Extender

Heres mine. Knockout was on the antenna side next to the cover. Its a tight fit for a store bought cat6 cable. I think it would seal up pretty good just off of the tightness of the fit. I relocated mine next to my network switch. It was much easier to pull the 4 wire rs-485 cable to the...

Iaqualink and mesh router incompatibility - workaround options

I moved my aqualink antenna inside for a hardwired connection. Was tired of the dropped wireless connections. It’s a lot easier to pull 4 conductor rs-485 cable inside than pulling an outdoor rated cat 5e cable outside and have to worry about special tools for terminating it.

Dallas TX - Heater - Gas or Electric

I use my gas heater to bring the pool up to temp in the spring and then switch over to the heat pump to maintain that temp. I don't use a solar cover so my heat pump runs most nights to keep up with the heat loss due to evaporation.

Two Heaters Separate Controls in AquaLink RS?

Since I have basically the same setup as @Bfisher79 , I did some poking around in my heaters and aqualink panel this morning. My gas heater is connected by the 2 wire method as referenced in the manual to the green terminal bar posts 1 and 2. My heat pump is connected by RS485. When I am in...

Two Heaters Separate Controls in AquaLink RS?

I also have a heat pump and gas heater. Take the cover off your pool panel with the buttons on it and take a picture. That will show us how your gas heater and heat pump are connected. Assuming the physical wiring is correct, the only thing I can think of is to make sure that DIP switch...

    Pool Swamp

I'm not an expert here but these 2 statements you made jumped out at me. In my unexperienced opinion there is no need to spend any money on chlorine or any other chemical unless you goal is to get the pool water clear and swimmable. There is really no in between with pool water. You either...

Temp sensor issues on new Aqualink RS

My air temp sensor is only right at night. During the day when the sun hits it and the surrounding brick wall around it, it gives a very high reading I guess due to the radiant heat coming off the wall. Swap the air and water temp at the board and see if they temps swap in your app. That...

Any programs to calculate area of deck?

When the Sundek guy came to my house he used and app on his phone that mapped out my decking. He walked around and place it on all the corners to create the shape and it gave him the square footage once he completed the shape. Don't know which app it was but he was using an Iphone.

How to remove phone bill from pool?

Pool is 64 degrees? Dive and get them. Its not that bad. If you got some teenagers pay them. Mine 9 year old wouldn't think twice about jumping in if I promised her ice cream.

    Kinda freaking out!

It sounds like the PB forgot to put the hydrostatic valve under a drain cover in the bottom of the pool. Hopefully your ground water level was high enough that it prevented any fast flowing water out of the pool which would wash anything away. And if the leak detection guy felt dirt at the end...

Monoprice Sycamore Outdoor 2.1 Buried Subwoofer Full of Water

I going to go pick up some silicone today and will use it liberally around the speaker wires going into the sub and where the mushroom top fits on the top of the sub. I also got out the hole diggers yesterday and starting digging down into one of the sub holes. When I went outside there was...

Monoprice Sycamore Outdoor 2.1 Buried Subwoofer Full of Water

I'm amazed the second subwoofer was full like the picture shown. Would it make sense to assume that since its level with the port opening that the water was entering at the port itself? I wouldn't think it would be entering from somewhere lower on the box and filling up. Only way that could...

Monoprice Sycamore Outdoor 2.1 Buried Subwoofer Full of Water

Well I went out and dug up the other subwoofer, this one is worse. Both sides are completely filled with water. It was a wet winter but I am shocked that these filled with water so fast. I have them dug to the appropriate depth per the manual. I don't understand how so much water is getting...

Monoprice Sycamore Outdoor 2.1 Buried Subwoofer Full of Water

I know several of you have this system. Its the subwoofer and 2 satellite speakers. I installed 2 of these systems last fall. This spring the subwoofer is no longer working but the satellites are working fine. I contacted Monoprice and they sent 2 new systems overnight. So I go to dig up...

    ScreenLogic2 with Gigabit Internet Issues...

ok, one last ditch effort. You can try it if you want to. I use an app on my phone called Fing. Its a network scanner and has some neat tools. You can download it, it has a premium service but just ignore that. It will scan your network and list all devices connected to it, their IP...

    ScreenLogic2 with Gigabit Internet Issues...

It’s definitely defective. You’ve done all you can do. They can’t expect you to have a 20 year old 10/100 router/switch laying around in the year 2021. Your router is working properly by switching to the slower 10/100 port speed so it’s communicating with the PA. The PA is just refusing to...

    ScreenLogic2 with Gigabit Internet Issues...

You said you confirmed that your router’s port switched to 10/100 when the PA connected, is that correct? I assume you saw this in the routers app? Did you also check in the app under the devices section and make sure it did not get an IP address? Don’t assume it’s not getting an IP just...

Jandy Freeze Protect - can you disable?

You can change the temp that the freeze protection comes on. I think default is 38 degrees. You can also completely disable it. Attached is my freeze protect screen. I would check their first and verify what temp yours is set to come on at. There is also a "Temp Calibrate" section where you...

3 day deep freeze, how to protect the pool

Looks like your doing all you can do. We don't deal with thick ice here so the mojo vibrators we have usually do the trick. I did a little googling, if you only need to keep a certain spot cleared of ice above your popups would these work...

3 day deep freeze, how to protect the pool

Do you already have ice and want to prevent more ice or are you just trying to prevent ice from forming in the first place? There are plenty of other instances where products are used to prevent ice from forming of bodies of water. There are duck hunting decoys that vibrate or make ripples...

    Evaporation estimate for NC winter

Same for me, this winter I have probably taken out 4 inches of water from my pool to compensate for all the rain we have had and I could drop it another 2 right now to get it back down to the middle of the tile. I can't imagine anyone in NC needing to add water the last 3 months. Now this...

Help needed - Pool pad equipment dry fit - What would you change?

I'm jealous of your equipment all nice and neat inside out of the weather. If I was being "nit picky" as my wife calls it, I might would bring the pump closer to the filter maybe a foot or two. Still leave yourself enough room to approach the filter and work around it to get the top off of...

Audio Video setup around pool patio

That's a no for me as well. I just installed two of the monoprice outdoor 2.1 speaker systems with an extra 2 satellite speakers each. If they need speaker wire and don't have a source for it, tell them to go to lowes or home depot and get outdoor landscape lighting wire, it comes in 12, 14...
