Don't worry about TA - Mine was at 50 the entire summer and my PH never ever moved and was always 7.5. Low TA is good.

I use a micromesh cover that allows the water to pass through so no draining the cover during rains..... I use regular tube floats under the cover so the cover doesn't touch the water. I will drain below the returns also.

The clorox stabilizer is fine and is 100% cyanuric acid. I use that. I believe you are referring to some of the clorox products that say the word "blue" on them and contain copper.
