Just bought a new house and the strangest part of this pool (in my opinion) is the lack of a return jet fitting. The pvc pipe literally just ends at the plaster and that’s it. No threads or fitting or anything. Just a hole in the plaster with a pipe shooting water back into the pool. The pool...

They would laugh at me 😀 The housing market is nuts. This house has 20+ offers and some offers are $70k over asking price. People are waiving inspections, appraisals, etc. It’s nuts.

Does it look like galvanized steel? I honestly have no idea. I’m not good with that kind of stuff. I paid good money for the install so I want to make sure it’s right.

Our electrician just did this and i’ve never heard of bonding this way. I guess the bonding wire attaches to the bracket.

Unless there is a huge algae bloom (due to laziness) I clean it twice per season. Once at beginning and once towards the end.

My Hayward DE filter has come to the end of its life and i’m curious if anyone has any suggestions. My DE filter made the water flawless, but I hated the “bumping” and adding new DE, and cleaning out the “fingers” of the filter, etc. Looking for an easier way!

Yes. Just higher levels of chlorine than SLAM calls for. Part of the SLAM method is to brush the pool every day. This stuff doesn’t brush. Which is the point of the whole thread. I’ve been following TFP for many years.
