Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

It may be looking at the wrong chlorinator in REM for the spa. Open an issue or discussion in GitHub and attach a replay.

Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

If you have the Sequent 4 or 8 relay it can switch that pump just fine if it is the one with either the 8A or 10A relays. The power draw from that pump is rated at .24A. Too bad though because the transformer drops the voltage to 24vdc to power the pump motor.

Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

You should let REM Chem control this not the IntelliCenter controller. There are lots of reasons for this but the primary one is there is no latching watchdog in the Pentair panel although that pump has some models that are reaaaaaaallllly slow. Use a relay from the pi stack to switch this on...

Do you have sensors or do you want a metered dose?

Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

You can get it from IntelliCenter. However if you do use industrial pH probes the EZO-RTD works really well for temp compensation. If you are only doin two ORP you can use a single T3.

Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

A T1 is not correct as that is for Arduino not Raspberry PI. You should be looking at one or more T3s.

Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

How far is the distance between your basement and pool pad? The pi will need to be out at your pad so that you can hook up your probes. Also, you will need a carrier and 2 EZO-ORP circuits. This will likely take some tuning and understanding of how ORP works on your pool. I have found that...

Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

Yes you set it up on an aux port in njsPC. The issue with IntelliChlor is that it only knows one address. This is an issue with the surge board and cell so I am not sure how they have this on their roadmap without requiring changes there but interestingly the IntelliCenter config reserves...

Two IntelliChlor Cells with one IntelliCenter?

Actually njsPC supports dual IntelliChlor on separate ports natively.

    HA Controllable Chlorinator Controller

Take a look at the wiki. I supports your UltraTemp heatpump and it speaks both Pentair and Aquarite for the chlorinator. If you have a VS pump it will talk to that too.

Trying to decide for SWG + Automation

If you are a Home Assistant user there is a full integration to Home Assistant as well as Vera, HomeBridge, Hubitat, SmartThings, and many others.

Trying to decide for SWG + Automation

You could always do nodeJS-PoolController. It really is pretty easy to do and it gives you all the power of a commercial system. https://github.com/tagyoureit/nodejs-poolController/wiki/DIY-Standalone-Nixie-Pool-Controller

Least expensive means of controlling Intellichlor?

If you can find one these days you can control all of it with a Pi Zero. They used to cost $10.

Least expensive means of controlling Intellichlor?

Hayward Aquarite and Pentair IntelliChlor use exactly the same protocol. While other Hayward equipment, including pumps operate at a different port speed the Aquarite communicates at 9600 baud like the IntelliChlor. As far as I know this is the only Hayward branded equipment that does this and...

Least expensive means of controlling Intellichlor?

Yes nodejs-poolController will perform all those functions without any Pentair controller.

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

This thread here is also an example of somebody implementing it on IntelliCenter. It also works for all models of EasyTouch, IntelliTouch, and SunTouch. https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/pentair-intellicenter-pool-control-dashboard-instructional-guide.218514/

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

There is a ton of information on the wiki and a very active group in Discussions. https://github.com/tagyoureit/nodejs-poolController

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

The raspberry pi simply connects to the comm port on the EasyTouch.

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

Or you could stuff a pi in the box with a relay board that will extend your EasyTouch with additional relays and schedules. No need for probes if you don’t want. Heck I might be talked into allowing volume dosing schedules that would turn off the Chlorinator when dosing.

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

Actually the tank for the IPh is a great piece of equipment and it does already have a Stenner pump on it. It really is very well done. You could simply trigger doses from a relay on your automation or convert it to a full on Chem controller...

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

There is nothing that IPh does to tell ET that it exists. The only time it should respond to anything is when it responds to the action 0 messages for the chlorinator. An IPh that has a protocol is called IntelliChem. Yeah the only thing I can think of is that it is not reconnecting the comms...

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

Smells an awful lot like that little white DPDT relay on the IPh is not disengaging. EasyTouch will constantly send messages (about every 2 seconds) to the IntelliChlor to keep control of it. If it does not hear back from it you have a COMM LINK ERROR. If you kill power to IPh with everything...

Com link error between IC20 and Easytouch After Intelliph dispenses acid

RS485 is not necessarily a link. There is no negotiation between the master and slave devices on the bus. I would suggest you try to change the settings at the IntelliChlor cell when it is in this Comm Link error state. This will tell you if the IntelliChlor is still receiving messages from...

Sizing SWCG for 60k gallon pool with cover - do I need a second cell?

I believe the comsys units are designed to be controlled via an ORP control panel. This switches the cells between 0 and 100% based upon ORP demand. I have never seen one on operation but there is only one RS485 port on the units and the 2 unit is supposed to be slaved to the master...

    Can’t recommend Cirrcupool anymore

Way back in the day I had one of the original salt cells that mounted to the inside of the pool wall. On this cell you could replace each plate individually and yes when the plate started wearing out it would decompose like that. I remember paying about $50 to replace all 5 plates and they...

IntellipH control panel and ic40 not communicating?

Keep on ranting. I built my own chem controller. For the most part both of them probably fit the good enough category for the average consumer. At least there is some modicum of keeping CSI under control. For me, I couldn't imagine dosing acid on a timed dose. The swings in pH and CSI due...

IntellipH control panel and ic40 not communicating?

I do not have any insight as to whether Pentair is going to fix this but I do have great insight as to what happens when an IpH starts to dose. This is the same circuit that exists on IntelliChem. The relay is used so that if an IntelliCenter or *Touch controller is in control of the...
