I am an idiot. I was doing the lefty loosey bit but didn't move from my standing position so I was actually righty tighty on one side.

Stupid question, but when taking the unit out of the system to clean do you turn both sides to unscrew in the same direction? Does one side unscrew in a different direction from the other? Maybe that is why I cannot get one side off.
