I used these. I just set it up this year so I can't speak to their longevity but they seem very nice.
I'm not affiliated with that supplier but I did buy all of my fittings there.
That's a Hayward AGP skimmer that uses the below basket. Your old plate will work with it.

I used 2" valves with 1 1/2" pipe to keep restrictions to a minimum. I used flexible PVC for the horizontal lines coming out of the pool. Got a small floor drain for the regular suction cover. I forgot to take a picture of it but here it is.

I cut mine yesterday. It was just as easy as everyone says it is. We put the top screws through the seam and when cutting the opening left the seam there. It shouldn't make a difference in how well it works.
Not one to leave well enough alone I couldn't help myself with the pool my wife wanted. She didn't realize it would be a new hobby for me (like I need another one).
So I kept an eye on the price for a few filter/pump combos during the cold season and grabbed a Pentair setup I thought would...
I am going to hard plumb mine and I was curious as to adding a second return line. Maybe I'll turn the second inlet hole into a return jet and have the skimmer in the middle.
Pricing out what I need to plumb it with PVC. I want to add a Hayward skimmer and spray bar too. Currently trying to figure out what fittings I need to attach flexible PVC to the rigid.
So the pool is going pretty good. I even got a canopy for it.
A couple of the legs are a little lower than the rest but not by much and it doesn't seem to be hurting anything. We had a couple of days of good rain and nothing sank or moved on us. The 1/2" foam I put under it seems a little wavy...

I got the bleach from Lowe's so it was outside. Yesterday I added the same amount (87oz) and this morning my FC was at 6.4. Something must have been in the water or on the pool to eat up all of that chlorine I guess.
Just checked it again. CYA is closer to 60 now that the sun is up. When I tried to measure FC I couldn't get the sample to turn pink with 6 scoops of DPD powder. So I'm already back to zero?
FC -. 8 checked this twice. I got .6 the second time.
CC -. 4
pH - 7.0
TA - 80
CH - 120
CYA - 75 I checked this anyway. My sock is almost empty and it's too high but that's what was recommended.
OK, back to the store for me. Thanks, I should have asked earlier. This is confusing.
I have read a lot but they talk about levels I have no experience with yet. I just needed a place to start. The sock will go in tonight.
Thanks
So chemicals, tell me if this is going to work.
Shock it
Add baking soda (tap water is TA 60ppm)
Chlorine tab in the skimmer.
Test tomorrow.
I got some DE to put in the filter but I thought I would get it up and running first.
