    Coleman Garden Hose Drain Adapter

Thanks everyone. I don't recall getting an adaptor with the pool. I tried the Intex hose adaptor and it did not fit correctly. I had to resort to the ole siphon method and I have to say, it worked better than if I would have connected a garden hose to the drain at the bottom of the pool. I...

    Coleman Garden Hose Drain Adapter

This may seem like an obvious question but i've gone to two pool stores and hardware stores and cannot find a solution. Is there a specific connector/adaptor to hook up a garden hose to the drain at the bottom of the pool? Both the pool & hardware stores keep saying its not a standard thread...

Taking down pool to re level

That is what I was suggesting. To help level off the lower side of the pool. Glad I asked. I don't have much of an issue with the posts sinking into the soil so I never felt the need to put the posts on blocks. I cannot fathom how the level is off though. Thank you for the response @ajw22

Took down to level again still about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 off level

I don't think you are wrong for looking to be safe. An overabundance of safety can only drive you nuts haha Last year, I was a little off on one side. I agonized over getting it level before I started but decided to leave it as it wasn't "that far off." No issues. This year, I spent 2 days...

Taking down pool to re level

Sorry to hijack the thread and I'll happily start a new one if the mods feel it's necessary but it's on the same wavelength. Would it be acceptable to place only a few legs on blocks for the area that may be a little lower? Would this cause stress on the legs and railings and potentially the liner?

Availability of Intex Pools (COVID-19 impact)

It's not Intex but found a Coleman 18x48" on Walmart. It was showing 2 Available at the time of this post. If anyone else is trying to get out of the dog house, 5his could be your chance. I have not heard back from Intex support about availability so...

Availability of Intex Pools (COVID-19 impact)

Has anyone who has tried contacting Intex via their email on the website actually heard anything back from them? I sent a message last week and still have not received a response. Has anyone had luck in finding pools in stock? I've been searching for the XTR Ultra Frame 16x48" and have not...

Air Pockets in Intake Tube - Intex AGP

Sorry for the delay. I was waiting to actually witness the filter running. Turns out, I adjusted the hose clamp and tightened it up and it appears this is where the air was entering. I had the clamp pretty tight and was surprised this is where air was getting into the hose. I'm very pleased it...

Air Pockets in Intake Tube - Intex AGP

Thanks for that tidbit about the low flow alarm while using the SWG. I was not aware of that. Is there anything wrong with backwashing using the SWG? Should I figure out how to bypass the SWG? I noticed that after I put the cap on the intake, I was still getting some air. By the time my 5 hour...

Air Pockets in Intake Tube - Intex AGP

Yes blacklisted, they are before the shut off valve. I found and put the cap under the intake without the skimmer on it. Definitely fixed the issue with the hose filling with air. I also noted that the pressure gauge on the sand filter is now reading at 2 or just below. I've attached a photo. Is...

Air Pockets in Intake Tube - Intex AGP

These were my thoughts as well which is why I'm perplexed. I had another read of that article (thank you) and simply do not understand how this issue is occurring. I am able to resolve the issue by removing the nipple from the one intake. The side effect of that is less suction for the skimmer...

Air Pockets in Intake Tube - Intex AGP

Thank you Texas for the response. The pressure rise only happened once last season. I attributed it to the nipple I put on. Had no idea it could be algae. I usually backwash every 2 weeks. I don't know if that is overkill or not enough but luckily I had very few issues with chemistry or an...

Air Pockets in Intake Tube - Intex AGP

Greetings, I added a surface skimmer to my pool. The pool has 2 intake (return) holes and subsequent tubes. On the intake that does not have the skimmer, I have the issued hard plastic, mesh-like cover. Behind that is the plastic nipple which I believe restricts some of the flow to allow the...
