Kids Pool Birthday Party - Checklist?

I would recommend having enough goggles on hand as well as some diving toys, squirt guns typically just result in screaming and are not worth it in my opinion.

Living in the desert with a pool

sorry to hear that, how often does this happen? I have to live with several trees that overhang the pool and drop debris all year round, they have become the target of all my animosity. Cleaning the pool 3 times a week gets old.

What have you found in the skimmer basket?

I use the paint strainers from Lowes or Home Depot and they work great for pollen and other small debris. In regards to what I have found: Frogs, birds, mice, a mole, and a couple of snakes; all of which were dead by the time I found them.

What did you do to your pool today?

i haven't tested my city water for CH in a long time so I am not sure what the numbers are. However I have not had to put water in the pool for several years now due to the amount of snow and rain we get throughout winter and the amount of rain we get through out the spring and summer months...

I am not sure if this will work for you but I have had ants around my house and pool for a while, not nearly as many as you described. I also have an exterminator service that I would call out once a week to spray for the ants and it did not seem to work. I purchased some Terro liquid ant...

Make everyone sit in their cars with the windows up for 10 minutes, everyone will want to get in the pool after that. On a serious note do you have a pool heater? I also normally host a Memorial Day party and last year it was cold and wind, however the pool temp was around 90 so it all worked...

What did you do to your pool today?

Cut down a large branch from one of the several Birch trees that overhang the pool as I try to minimize the amount of debris that constantly falls into the pool. Other than that pool is still covered with water temp around 46.

    My pool in northern Virginia

Also from Northern Virginia here - Manassas Park, VA. I notice in your signature you state you have a Nature2 Clearvision System. I believe that is a mineral system and it is not recommended to use mineral systems as they can add metals to your pool which will cause staining especially since...
