Well, I’ve never waited this long, but I am finally opening this week since finding a good supply of bleach in bulk and jug forms from a new builder supplier in town. I was planning on dichlor powder and water changes later on, but looks like we escaped that hassle.

I might actually be able to stay on that one, IF I could manage to get on it!

Man, I would love 7 days straight of 105. I like 85-88, but when it's hot, and the pool is 90+ it isn't so refreshing, I agree.

I like the porch Bling DV. Not much here this week, picked up a few degrees in the pool, and losing it with cool NE wind this morning. What the heck is going on? It ain't global warming around here, that's for sure. :scratch:

Opposite here, I run a combo set, or pleats. Dust load demands it. Unless you like that dusty haze in the water. Wait, Dusty Haze- that sounds like the name of a 70s rock band who would wear corduroys...

Coral Snake is the exception save some rear fanged species like the Dusty Hog Nose, which aren't considered a threat unless you're a mouse, or a Lizard. :-)

So, normal stuff yesterday until massive T storm winds trashed the pool again last night. So today, its back to normal...cleaning up storm trash with a nice cold front blowing in. AT THE END OF JUNE!!! WT Heck is with this weather in 2017????? Aaaccck!!! :rant:

Welcome to TFP! All I can suggest, is design the spa now with that upgrade in mind for the future. My opinion is that it will be a major hassle later on, and not anything but more expensive than doing it now. Beautiful concept and design, and I really like it, but to me it isnt worth a 10-20k...

Box looks bad, but I bet the pump is fine. I had an oven heating element arrive like that not too long ago. Yep, it was bent and broken. It's a shipper issue no doubt though, especially on something so heavy, like Matt says.
