I didnt see any comments about what might be on the bottom (organic matter) and it is really important to brush the sides and bottom at LEAST once a day during a slam. If you have a bunch of leaves on the bottom it will take a truckload of bleach to oxidize it.. If you dig it out and dump it...

Can you turn off the UV light for a day and see if it will then hold chlorine?

I usually test in 10mL sample. I have a cool Taylor sample sizer that prepares it up for me. In a 10 ml sample you divide the drops by 2.

I also struggle with the shades of yellow.. I really like the speedstir with my FAS-DPD test. I actually have my grandaughters convinced that I can tell not only if the Ool was peed in but WHO peed in the Ool with all the fancy testing that I do. It is hilarious, because I am always right!
