    Why do you have to drain and refill your pool each year (2016 & 2017)? Who is advising you to do that? Is there something wrong with your top off water? Why measure phosphates at all? I've had my pool for over 20 years and have never drained and refilled.

    While I have no interest in the local pool stores for testing my water, they (pinch a penny, leslies) are a convenient source for liquid chlorine and muriatic acid. Doing your own testing is the best!
