    JamesW, I never have used non-chlorine shock/oxidizer. The only stabilizer I have used is Clorox step-1 CYA.

    Hi wjr75, Yes I have a speedstir and ran CYA, FC, and CC twice. I don't know all that much but the pool is clear, sparkling blue, and doesn't smell like chlorine. Hopefully someone will see this and have some experience with this. Ernie

    Thanks Kim and Texas Splash, I just shut off the SWG and will test tonight and in the morning. I added 4 pounds of powdered stabilizer yesterday after testing to raise my CYA level to the recommended 70 - 80 level on the chart for vinyl liner/ SWG pool. Will this affect my tests tonight?

    Hi folks, new numbers this morning as follows: Ph 7.8 up 0.15 from Friday FC 6.0 down 0.5 from Friday CC 1.0 up 0.5 from Friday TA 80 CYA 40 I added 1 gallon of Liquid stabilizer after Fridays test and on Saturday CYA was up to 50 I'm wondering/worrying about the CC increase.

FC 4.0 CC .5 PH 7.5 CYA 30- added one gallon monosodium cyanurate monohydrate 35% pool calculator called for 284 oz to bring it up to 70, will re-check tomorrow Salt 4600 I don't get that rise, could be better mix using speedstir? comments appreciated
