Air in the pump strainer basket, help please

I used a shop vac on blower to pressurize the lines in hopes of blowing the clog back out the main drain. That loosened up the clog enough that it came through the filter basket for the main drain. It turned out to be a plastic ring for one of the eyeballs encased in and surrounded by a wad of...

Air in the pump strainer basket, help please

I noticed that when I switch the main drain valve to off, the pressure immediately goes back to normal and the filter strainer basket fills back up to the top with only tiny bubbles. This leads me to believe I have an obstruction in the main drain somewhere. Forgive my ignorance but how do I...

Swapping out Jandy pressure gauge for glycerin filled pressure gauge

Thanks Jim. I am not opposed to plumbing in some sort of relief valve myself. I am just not familiar enough with pool plumbing and accessories to know what to use. You wouldn't happen to have any suggestions? Would a normal pressure relief valve plumbed in line with the gauge work, if there...

Swapping out Jandy pressure gauge for glycerin filled pressure gauge

Hello all, It looks like the Jandy filter pressure gauge I have pictured here: Jandy R0357200 Has a unibody construction. The gauge on testkits.net is just the gauge, what happens to the pressure relief assembly? Will I lose the ability to bleed air from the filter with this install?

Need help, seems like pump doesn't work

Yes, breaker is on, not tripped. I actually just turned it on again and it seemed like it wanted to start, but stopped. I also found a sort of PVC trim, looks like it was sheared off, almost like large washer, trying to figure out how to post pictures here.

Timer is on, SWCG is on, but pump is not running. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot? What is the lifespan on these pumps?
