Swapping out Jandy pressure gauge for glycerin filled pressure gauge

Hello all,
It looks like the Jandy filter pressure gauge I have pictured here:

Jandy R0357200

Has a unibody construction. The gauge on testkits.net is just the gauge, what happens to the pressure relief assembly? Will I lose the ability to bleed air from the filter with this install?

Most filters have separate gauges and air relief valves...

Looks to me like you won't be able to use the Testkits valve unless you do some extra plumbing...

I would just buy another Jandy OEM valve... Jandy has you between a rock and a hard place...

Thanks Jim. I am not opposed to plumbing in some sort of relief valve myself. I am just not familiar enough with pool plumbing and accessories to know what to use. You wouldn't happen to have any suggestions? Would a normal pressure relief valve plumbed in line with the gauge work, if there even is such a thing?

Do you think adding plumbing like this will impact the effectiveness or accuracy of the gauge, by not be installed directly in the port?

It should not matter if it is directly on the port or not...

The item in the link I provided would not work for you but you can see how it was put together... I suspect if you took the original to one of the big box stores, they could show you what you need.

That said, for me it would not really be worth the effort....

Thanks again Jim. The link you provided is exactly what I was thinking of configuring. Stay tuned, I am going to grab some plumbing pieces and tinker.
