    Pump leak after replacing motor

I went ahead and put it back together and no leaks when I filled the basket and no leaks when I turned it on (after I used some teflon tape on the basket drain plug). Quiet operation so I think I'm good until new the pump arrives.

    Pump leak after replacing motor

ok so I took a picture of where it was leaking. I took it apart again and saw the problem (I hope). I was missing a piece on the backside of the impeller so it wasn't mating correctly (see pic before i added the missing piece). Water was getting past the seal plate. See picture. So before I...

    Pump leak after replacing motor

I have a new pump on backorder, but to get through this season I ordered a new motor for my failed Superpump. I replaced the motor today but I have seem to have done something wrong as it pours out water from the bottom when I fill the pump basket. It appears to be coming out where the motor...

I believe leaking from the stenner caused corrosion and the premature demise of my pump. I am going to relocate the stenner to try an remedy that. I am looking for a new...

    My Stenner install complete!

RE heat. I (mostly) buried my bucket. It is just a 5 gallons though. Burying it works well, I believe I measured the water temp in the buried bucket in the 70s when I was testing. For comparison my pool heats to almost 90 naturally.

help skimmer sock sucked into plumbing

I'm not proud of this but tonight I was trying to figure out why I had air in my lines and when I pulled the basket out to check for suction the skimmer sock got sucked down the line. I ran over and turned the pump off. What do I do? waste out and hope for the best? will it cause issues or...
